Privacy policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Traders Casa (“Traders Casa”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you use traderscasa.com, the Traders Casa application, and related services.

Effective date: 31 July 2026

Last updated: 31 July 2026

Who is responsible for your information

Traders Casa is the controller of the personal information described in this policy. This means we decide why and how that information is processed. You can contact us at contactus@traderscasa.com.

Information we collect

The information we collect depends on the features you use and the choices you make.

Account and profile information

  • Your name, email address, profile image, account preferences and time zone.
  • Your password in hashed form, email verification status, authentication tokens and account-security information.
  • The version of the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy you accepted, the exact acceptance date and time, and the acceptance source.
  • If you sign in with Google, identifiers and profile information that Google makes available to us, such as your name, email address and profile image.

Trading, backtesting and journal information

  • Backtest sessions, strategies, charts, drawings, indicators, trades, prices, balances, risk settings, performance results and analytics preferences.
  • Live-trading journal information, including account labels, trades, transactions, setups, tags, checklists, notes, screenshots and imported broker reports.
  • If you enable broker sync, your broker platform, login identifier, server, account type, encrypted investor or read-only credential, connection status and the trading history returned through the connection. Traders Casa does not use broker sync to place or execute trades.
  • Pine Script code and instructions you submit to an AI-assisted indicator-conversion feature, together with the generated output and technical diagnostics.

Subscriptions and payment information

We collect your plan, subscription status, renewal dates, Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, invoice and payment status, currency, discounts, referral information, and cancellation or payment-recovery information. Stripe and its payment partners process your payment method details. We do not store your complete card number or card security code.

WhatsApp accountability information

If you opt in to WhatsApp accountability, we collect your WhatsApp number, the date, source and version of your consent, your opt-out status, relevant Traders Casa activity used to prepare check-ins, and messages you exchange with us. A check-in may include a summary of your backtests or trades. Messages presented as coming from Sofia may be prepared or sent using automation or artificial intelligence and may be reviewed by an authorised member of the Traders Casa team.

Communications and support information

We collect messages you send to us by email, support channels, social media or WhatsApp, and information needed to investigate and resolve your request. We also record operational email information, such as delivery status, whether a tracked link was clicked, unsubscribe status, and a pseudonymous recipient identifier. Where you expressly authorise temporary support access, authorised personnel may access your account to diagnose or resolve an issue, subject to access controls and time limits.

Technical, usage, advertising and referral information

We and our providers may collect IP address, device and browser type, operating system, approximate location derived from IP, pages or features used, timestamps, error and security logs, cookie identifiers, referral source, affiliate attribution and advertising interactions. We also record product events such as onboarding progress, backtests created, analytics viewed, checkout activity and subscription lifecycle events so we can operate and improve the service.

Information from other sources

We may receive information from Google when you use Google sign-in, Stripe and payment partners when you pay, Rewardful or an affiliate when you follow a referral link, your broker or an authorised broker-connection service when you enable sync, and other services you ask us to connect to your account.

How and why we use information

Under UK data protection law, we must have a lawful basis for each use of personal information. Depending on the context, we process information for the following purposes and lawful bases:

  • To perform our contract with you: create and secure your account; provide backtesting, analytics, journalling, broker sync, AI-assisted tools and paid-plan features; process purchases; manage renewals, cancellations and refunds; and provide customer support.
  • With your consent: send optional WhatsApp accountability messages; send marketing where consent is required; and use non-essential cookies or similar technologies where the law requires consent. You can withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.
  • For our legitimate interests: secure and troubleshoot the service; prevent fraud and abuse; understand product usage; improve features and customer experience; measure email and affiliate performance; recover failed payments; protect our legal rights; and send proportionate service or product communications. We balance these interests against your rights and expectations.
  • To comply with law: maintain tax, accounting and transaction records; respond to lawful requests; enforce legal rights; and meet security, consumer-protection and data-protection obligations.

We may use aggregated or de-identified information that does not reasonably identify you for analytics, research, product improvement and business reporting.

WhatsApp accountability and AI-assisted replies

WhatsApp accountability is optional and intended to support consistency, not to provide financial, investment, legal or other professional advice. Check-ins are typically sent one or two times per week, but frequency is not guaranteed. To provide the feature, we may use your name, WhatsApp number, plan and recent Traders Casa activity to prepare a message. If you reply, we may use the conversation and relevant account activity to prepare an AI-assisted or human reply.

We share the information needed to deliver and receive these messages with Meta's WhatsApp services and, if used, a WhatsApp Business solution provider. WhatsApp processes information under its own privacy terms. Do not send payment card details, broker passwords, financial account numbers, government identifiers or other sensitive information by WhatsApp. Message and data rates may apply.

You can stop WhatsApp messages through your Traders Casa settings, by using an opt-out control we provide, by replying with a clear request such as “Stop”, or by contacting us. We retain an opt-out record so that we can honour your request.

Artificial intelligence

Some features use third-party AI services, including OpenAI, to process content you choose to submit, generate indicator code, prepare accountability messages or assist with replies. Relevant prompts, source code, account-activity summaries or message text may be sent to the AI provider for that purpose. AI output can be incomplete or incorrect and should be reviewed before use.

We do not use solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you. You can request human support by contacting us. Please do not submit personal information about another person, confidential credentials, or special-category or highly sensitive information to an AI feature.

When we share information

We do not sell personal information for money. We share only what is reasonably necessary with the following recipients:

  • Hosting, database and infrastructure providers, including Vercel, database services and market-data infrastructure, to host, store, secure and deliver Traders Casa.
  • Stripe and payment partners, including PayPal where selected, to process payments, subscriptions, fraud checks, refunds and billing support.
  • Google for Google sign-in and Google AdSense advertising technologies.
  • Resend to send account, onboarding, billing, support and marketing email.
  • Cloudinary to store and deliver screenshots, profile images and chart snapshots.
  • TradingView and market-data providers to provide charts, charting tools and historical market data.
  • OpenAI to provide AI-assisted features.
  • Meta, WhatsApp and any WhatsApp Business solution provider used to deliver optional accountability messaging.
  • Rewardful and affiliates to attribute referrals and administer our affiliate programme.
  • Broker-connection infrastructure and your selected broker or trading platform when you ask us to connect or sync an account.
  • Professional advisers, insurers, auditors, prospective purchasers and public authorities where reasonably necessary for advice, a corporate transaction, legal compliance, or the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.

Providers may act as our processors, independent controllers, or both, depending on the service. Their own terms and privacy notices may also apply.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies, browser storage, pixels, scripts and similar technologies for authentication, security, preferences, core application functions, affiliate attribution, advertising and service measurement. Essential technologies are required for functions such as signing in, maintaining a session and remembering settings. Rewardful, Google AdSense, TradingView and other third parties may set or read non-essential identifiers when their services are present.

Where applicable law requires it, the lawful basis for non-essential cookies and similar technologies is consent. You can also restrict or delete cookies using your browser or device controls, although blocking essential technologies may prevent parts of Traders Casa from working. Browser “Do Not Track” signals are not standardised; where legally required, we will recognise applicable opt-out preference signals.

International transfers

Some providers and their subprocessors operate outside the United Kingdom or European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where personal information is transferred internationally, we use an applicable adequacy regulation or decision, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, the UK Addendum to the European Commission's standard contractual clauses, the EU standard contractual clauses, or another lawful safeguard. Where required, we assess the transfer and apply supplementary protections.

How long we keep information

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above. The period depends on the type of information, whether your account remains active, our contractual and legal obligations, the sensitivity of the information, and the need to resolve disputes or enforce agreements.

  • Account, trading, journal and preference information is generally kept while your account is open and then deleted or anonymised when it is no longer needed, subject to backup cycles, fraud prevention and legal holds.
  • Billing, invoice, refund, consent, opt-out and material contract records may normally be retained for up to six years after the relevant transaction or relationship ends, or longer where law requires.
  • Support and communication records, email-delivery and click records, security logs and WhatsApp content are kept for the period reasonably needed to provide support, measure communications, maintain security and handle potential claims, then deleted or anonymised.
  • Our providers may retain information under their own documented retention schedules. Data remaining in backups is isolated from ordinary use and deleted as backups are overwritten.

Security

We use administrative, technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect personal information, including access controls, password hashing, encryption for stored broker credentials, secure transport and monitoring. No online service can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account, email, device and credentials secure and for notifying us promptly of suspected unauthorised access.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to be informed; access personal information; correct inaccurate information; request deletion; restrict or object to processing; receive portable information; withdraw consent; opt out of direct marketing; and complain to a regulator. You also have an absolute right to object to processing for direct marketing.

To exercise a right, email contactus@traderscasa.com. We may need to verify your identity. We normally respond within one month where UK or EU law applies, although the law may permit an extension for a complex or numerous request. Rights are not absolute and lawful exemptions may apply.

Data protection complaints

You may raise a data protection complaint using the contact details below. We will acknowledge a complaint within 30 days, investigate it without undue delay, keep you informed where appropriate, and explain the outcome. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint, or to the supervisory authority where you live or work.

Additional rights in the United States

If an applicable US state privacy law covers our processing, you may have additional rights to know, access, correct or delete information, receive a portable copy, opt out of certain targeted advertising or disclosures treated as a sale or sharing, and appeal a refused request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right. We do not sell personal information for monetary payment. Some advertising or affiliate technologies may be treated as “sharing” or a “sale” under certain state laws; you can contact us to exercise any applicable opt-out right.

Age restriction

Traders Casa is not directed to anyone under 18, and you must be at least 18 to create an account or use the service. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where appropriate.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our services, providers or legal obligations change. We will post the updated version here and change the “Last updated” date. If a change materially affects how we use information, we will provide additional notice or seek consent where required before the new use begins.
